Testing and laboratory services
Qendra e monitorimit të Mjedisit (QMM) is a company with an accredited laboratory, in compliance with the S SH ISO IEC 17025:2017 standard.
The laboratory has been a key focus of QMM since its establishment in 2009, continuously evolving in response to market needs and demands. It is important to highlight that the laboratory of the Qendra e Monitorimit te Mjedisit (QMM) became the first accredited environmental laboratory in Albania in 2010.
QMM is equipped with an accredited laboratory according to the S SH ISO IEC 17025:2017 standard.
The Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) conducts water sampling according to modern methods for matrices:
- Surface water (lake, sea, river) using Ruttner equipment for sampling at different depths
- Groundwater (via monitoring wells)
- Industrial waste water
Based on international methods and standards, the following tests are performed:
Laboratory tests for water in matrices:
- Industrial waste water

Physicochemical testing of solid matrices:

Air quality testing in outdoor and indoor environments
- Polluting gases such as CO, CO2, NOx, CH4, CxHy, VOC, SO2, H2S etc.
- Particle level (LNP, PM10, PM5)
- Other tests are performed upon request.
Gas discharges from industrial processes (point discharges in the chimney)
- Combustion gases (O2, CO, CO2, NOx, CH4, CxHy, SO2, H2S)

- Boiler emissions and combustion efficiency assessment

Noise and vibration level measurement

The Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) offers to operators who have testing equipment and to other laboratories, quality control of tests on matrices:
- water
- jamming
- Level of gases in the atmosphere
- Measurement of particle level by gravimetric method
- Weight
- Air temperature
- The humidity
- Equipment temperature (ovens, drying equipment, refrigerators, thermoreactors, etc.)
This service is offered to all operators who, in their job profile, have to check the work environment through testing equipment for the control of employee health risks. These cases can be:
- Operators in the hydrocarbon extraction industry and refineries
- Operators working in closed environments such as wells, fuel tanks, etc.
- Industries that work in specific microclimate and environmental quality conditions
Also, laboratories that perform various tests on water, noise, gases, particles, etc., can perform periodic checks of their tests with certified materials.
