In addition, the EIA environmental report contributes to the design of an effective strategy for environmental rehabilitation by taking appropriate measures.

Due diligence means all activities necessary for information and control, aimed at efficiently evaluating the usefulness of an agreement and identifying possible risks or hidden costs.

During a sale and purchase process of a company or its shares (or subsidiaries), Due Diligence serves to efficiently negotiate the terms of the contract. In these cases, if the financial data is easily verifiable, it is required to cover costs or risks related to environmental and occupational health and safety issues.

Through this assessment, the investor has clear possible legal responsibilities and penalties in the future.

Also, Due diligence serves banks in the process of lending to companies. Through this assessment, the bank can have a clearer understanding of the risks associated with this activity by also performing the assessment:

loan repayment is certain or there is a risk that an activity will be penalized up to closure for environmental, social and/or occupational health and safety issues.

The Environmental Monitoring Center provides Due Diligence assessments for:

In accordance with the requirements for special cases, evaluations of different types of environmental, social, health and safety at work etc. are recommended.

The register for the discharge and transfer of environmental pollutants (RRSHTN) is required to be kept by industrial and mining companies, where their discharges are declared according to the categories that are reported to KTA every year. This gives access to the public interested in having information on the amount of air, water and soil pollution based on VKM 742 dated 09.09.2015, which has partially transposed EC regulation No. 166/2006 on the European Register of Discharge and Transfer of Pollutants amended by EC Regulation No. 596/2009.
