Environmental Services and Consulting
The Environmental Monitoring Center (QMM) is a leading company that provides consultancy and services in the field of environment, quality certifications, occupational safety, etc.
The process of drafting the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) helps to improve any type of project, to respect and protect the environment of the area where it is implemented. The purpose of the EIA is to ensure that the environment in the area where the project is implemented will be considered in relation to all other important issues, at every stage of it. With an experience of over 15 years, the staff of consultants of the Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) provides environmental and social impact assessments for all types of activities, from industrial to regional construction activities with cross-border impact. The experience of the staff of the Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) includes projects financed by the EBRD, the World Bank and other international financial institutions.
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) means the standard, systematic and comprehensive procedure by which the effects on the environment of the development activities of Plans and Programs are assessed. VSM is an instrument for the improvement of plans and programs that embody the environmental dimension during the design of Cooperation Programs, focusing on the minimization of environmental risks and effects, as well as on the maximization of environmental benefits during the proposed interventions.
In addition, the EIA environmental report contributes to the design of an effective strategy for environmental rehabilitation by taking appropriate measures.
The Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) offers assistance in completing, collecting all the necessary technical documentation that a company needs to apply for an Environmental Permit. QMM specialists are very familiar with environmental legislation, typologies and procedures of various industrial activities, clearly and objectively identifying all the impact of an activity on the environment.
Private and state entities that want to transport waste need to be provided with a type 3.2.B license for the category of waste they are interested in. For this, the Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) offers assistance in relation to:
Preparation of relevant documentation
The connection of recycling operators with the company that will carry out the transport of waste
License application 3.2.b and following the administrative procedure
Due diligence means all activities necessary for information and control, aimed at efficiently evaluating the usefulness of an agreement and identifying possible risks or hidden costs.
During a sale and purchase process of a company or its shares (or subsidiaries), Due Diligence serves to efficiently negotiate the terms of the contract. In these cases, if the financial data is easily verifiable, it is required to cover costs or risks related to environmental and occupational health and safety issues.
Through this assessment, the investor has clear possible legal responsibilities and penalties in the future.
Also, Due diligence serves banks in the process of lending to companies. Through this assessment, the bank can have a clearer understanding of the risks associated with this activity by also performing the assessment:
loan repayment is certain or there is a risk that an activity will be penalized up to closure for environmental, social and/or occupational health and safety issues.
The Environmental Monitoring Center provides Due Diligence assessments for:
- The environmental part
- Assessment of permits, authorizations and licenses necessary for the development of this activity as well as their compatibility with reality
- Analysis of the real environmental situation (discharges to the environment, waste management, etc.)
2. Health and safety at work
- Collection of declared data and comparing them with real activity
- Specific risk assessments if missing
- Measurement and analysis to determine working conditions (air quality, noise, lighting, wind currents, vibration, etc.)
In accordance with the requirements for special cases, evaluations of different types of environmental, social, health and safety at work etc. are recommended.
The register for the discharge and transfer of environmental pollutants (RRSHTN) is required to be kept by industrial and mining companies, where their discharges are declared according to the categories that are reported to KTA every year. This gives access to the public interested in having information on the amount of air, water and soil pollution based on VKM 742 dated 09.09.2015, which has partially transposed EC regulation No. 166/2006 on the European Register of Discharge and Transfer of Pollutants amended by EC Regulation No. 596/2009.
The specialists of the Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) have the necessary experience and knowledge for the correct completion of this register for different types of industry.
The environmental audit that can be performed on a company’s activity or specific operational processes, is an assessment of environmental compliance and the implementation of the environmental management plan that this company has, accompanied by the corresponding corrective actions.
At the moment the company is provided with an Environmental Permit, it must draw up a series of environmental policies (documents, environmental training, etc.). We offer the preparation of a series of technical documents and do the appropriate consultancy so that the company complies with the legal requirements of the environmental permit. This documentation is submitted to the relevant institutions based on the requirements of order no. 92 date 02.05.2024 issued by the National Environment Agency.
The Environmental Management Plan (EMP) identifies the principles, approaches, procedures and methods that will be used to control and minimize the environmental and social impacts of all operational activities. As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to excellence in environmental and social performance, PMM can be provided for:
- industrial activities
- construction activities
QMM provides technical assistance to its clients before, during and after inspections of state bodies in order to comply with legal requirements and report as accurately as possible to avoid wrong decisions of the environmental inspectorate.
The Environmental Monitoring Center offers assistance and technical consultancy for the minimization of industrial and construction discharges into the environment. Discharges of industrial activities such as technological waters must be treated before being discharged into the receiving waters, respecting the discharge rates defined in the environmental permit and relevant legislation.
The Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) offers environmental rehabilitation projects for various construction activities such as:
- Land and inert storage sites
- Surface mining
- Contaminated land surfaces
An energy audit is an assessment of the energy consumption of a building or a company, industrial plant or activity. Carrying out an energy audit means knowing and measuring the energy use of a specific building or plant and identifying possible interventions to increase energy efficiency and thus save energy consumption.
QMM specialists perform energy audits for both new and existing buildings, industrial silos, technological processes and technological plants.
The Environmental Monitoring Center (EMC) provides modeling based on the Gaussian and Astral 2000 programs.
For more than 20 years, service providers, authorities and industrial companies have been relying on Astral 2000 Gaussian distribution as one of the leading software tools in the field of pollution control. These programs are our software solution for calculating outdoor sound propagation, workplace noise exposure and airborne pollutant propagation.
Modeling that you can do in our institution:
- Air pollutants
- Road traffic noise
- Industrial noise
- Railway noise
- Noise in workplaces
